We discuss the recent release of Project Hail Mary, analyzing the story, visuals, and acting performance of Ryan Gosling, as well as other major space movies such as Interstellar, Gravity, The Martian, Alien, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and several others. For the purposes of this episode, we chose to omit discussions of Star Wars, as we have already discussed the franchise at length in past episodes.
In our discussion, we share our thoughts on the evolution of space movies from the release of 2001: A Space Odyssey all the way to the most recent major release of Project Hail Mary. We discuss the influence of space movies on one another both in visual standpoints, and storytelling aspects throughout the ages.
